Introducing actor and director, Adam Alexander! Adam is one of the script editors and dramaturges for this project as well as the stage director for episode 3 of Medea. You will also hear him as the part of Jason. Adam Alexander has worked internationally as a performer, movement instructor and fight director in theater and opera. Before relocating to France from his hometown of New York City, Adam was on faculty at The Actors Studio Drama School and a member of the Grammy nominated Choir of Trinity Wall Street. Performing credits for Adam include New York City Opera, The New York Philharmonic including the recently Emmy-nominated Carousel (Live from Lincoln Center), Encores! at New York's City Center, and The New York Cabaret Convention. Adam recently performed the role of Njegus with Pensacola opera and finds himself most comfortable in comedic baritone roles. He is currently the bass soloist at The American Cathedral in Paris. Since moving to France, he has worked closely with American Musical Theatre Live! in Paris. Adam holds degrees from Boston University, the Manhattan School of Music, and is a member of the Society of American Fight Directors, the Association of Theater Movement Educators, the American Guild of Musical Artists, and Actors Equity Association.
Personal Note:
Following Debi's vision to develop Medea has been a rewarding experience, and the collaboration that she offers is inspiring to be around. Just prepping and recording the dialogue felt like an end product, but knowing that it is just the palate from which the composer will create from is very exciting. I am interested to see this ancient story take yet another form with a fresh point of view. It is certain to make us ask old questions in a new way, both as artists and as humans.
